Finland enjoyed a successful qualifying campaign to Euro 2008. In fact, after years of mediocrity, Finland held their destiny in their own hands, but a defeat in their last match in Portugal sent the Portuguese to Austrian and Switzerland and left the Finns thinking of ways to improve. Being drawn to Group 4, Finland will do remarkably well to find themselves in one of the top two places. Since Germany are much better, their only chance is to fight with Russia for the 2nd place. This is not an easy task, but if Finland will avoid losing to the minnows, they will have a shot and this is more than enough.

Bottom Line: Their Euro 2008 campaign was lost due to defeats to Azerbaijan. They will have to make sure this will not happen again.
